My air conditioner board malfunctioned and I’ve been without A/C for 2 days. I understand that people in Kenya don’t have A/C, so this is most likely a first world problem, but I swear my life has been miserable the last 2 days. I don’t know how people live without air conditioning in heat like this.

My home is 87 degrees. As an elite athlete, I sweat a lot. I sweat by sitting in this environment. I get out of the shower and I start sweating. I eat a hot meal and I start sweating. There is no comfort when you are constantly sweating. This has left me in a volatile mood and in a mindset where I can’t feel good about doing any activity. Sleeping has been a nightmare.

This has given me a new found respect for air conditioning. I always assumed I could handle most situations without complaining, but this one has got me waffled. Our work A/C sucks too and the temperature is 77, and this feels like paradise.

The weather continues to add pressure to this situation because it’s not like I get any relief when I try to do anything either. Golfing on Monday I was full sweat for 4 hours. Running outside is like losing a gallon of water. I continue to hydrate and feel dehydrated all the time.  It’s been hard to feel good over these days.
