My car was transported 10 feet into the middle of the road due to flooding last night and is in all likelihood totaled along with 40 other cars at my apartment complex.
I’m actually pretty okay with this (other than the fact that I spent $1,100 on this three weeks ago to pass inspection).
I’m moving to the city in 3 weeks and the car was a bit of a challenge anyway. Instead of rushing to buy a new car, the insurance covers a rental car for a bit, so I think I’m just going to make it until my move then not have a car while living in the city (at least, not to start).
Regardless, it’s pretty hilarious to get an email that says “we had flash flooding!“, walk out expecting nothing serious, then see my car in the middle of the road. I was surprised.
