If you don’t do this, there is no possible way you stay up to date with the latest music. Everyone wants to think that they know the most about music. It’s like saying you’re good at ping pong.
New music is released every Friday. Sometimes a big artist may release a song on a random date, but mostly all new music comes out on Friday. There are tabs in Spotify that access this area. You go into Browse / New Releases. New Music Friday will show you every song and Release Radar gives you the new songs that correlate mostly to your tastes. I get relatively excited every Friday for this. One of the small joys of life.
Today was an absolute banger. Twenty One Pilots. Capital Cities. Metric. Third Eye Blind. Lumineers. Hunna. Houndmouth. Kenny Freaking Chesney! The first two are close to my favorite bands behind Night Riots and Young the Giant. I’m sure I could list more and order them, which may not be a bad post, but those are off the top of my head. Whether the songs put out are actually worth listening to from today? Well, I have no idea because I wrote this post in anticipation of listening to the songs and putting a new post out.
On a random tangent, Capital Cities are one of the most underrated bands I can think of. Everyone knows Safe and Sound, but I rarely say when I’m listening to their music that “this song sucks.” I have no idea what their names are to give you an idea of how much I care about my favorite band. I’d guess the dude on the left sings and the guy on the right supplies the beats.
