Global epidemics are good!

The Black Plague killed 100 – 200 million people back in the 1300s and it took 200 years for the global population to reach it’s previous number.

What does that mean? If the Plague never happened, we’d already be dead.

In 200 years, global warming will have probably killed us all. We’d have just pressed fast-forward on that if the Plague didn’t happen.

So here we are, on a crash course for self destruction in a matter of decades struggling to find a solution. And this gem just falls into our lap – Let COVID-19 delete half the people on earth!

Obviously this sounds like a bad idea, and the thought of a loved one dying from this is not lost on me, but speaking from a grander perspective, dropping the population down to like 4 or 5 billion (or less!) would have to be a good thing for the longevity of the human race.

I’m sure there are a dozen reasons why it’s not as straight forward as I’m making it seem to be, but that’s okay. This is the most selfless thing I can think of.

So go to sporting events and concerts! Don’t wash your hands after wiping! Deliberately cough in peoples’ faces! We’re all in this together!
