LAUREL or YANNY? has divided the nation. I heard Laurel the first time and Yanny later in the day.
I don’t fucking get it. I’ve read it has to do with the frequency of the sound and how your brain perceives it.
Someone compared it to political views these days. You sit here and wonder “How the hell do you hear Yanny? Are we even listening to the same thing?” and conversations around politics these days feel the same way a lot of the time.
But then I saw BRAINSTORM OR GREEN NEEDLE, and you can literally choose what you hear. Just keep repeating one in your head and you’ll hear it, then start repeating the other, and you’ll hear that.
I don’t fucking get it. The internet is a weird place.
