A year ago I bought my dad a 90 minute sensory deprivation session, or ‘floating’ session. You basically get into a little pod of heated salt water and lie still for the duration of the session.
The idea is this:
“After about 30 minutes free from all external stimuli, the immune system improves as a result of stress reduction, your heart rate slows and blood pressure lowers. Your brain waves slow down clicking you into the dreamlike theta state, allowing extreme clarity of thought for creative endeavors, problem solving, and enhanced learning.“
I bought it for JC when he was very zen, BUT he’s very claustrophobic. I should have known it was a bad idea.
A couple months after Christmas he said he wasn’t into it and said I should do it instead if I wanted to. I’ve ignored it until today, when I scheduled my 90 minute float session.
I don’t really know what to expect. I’ve heard good things about sensory deprivation and am actually pretty excited to see what happens. If it’s anything like doing shrooms then I’m pumped.
I’ll write a follow up post once I done this weekend. It’ll probably be the best thing I’ve ever written with how woke I’m going to be.
I watched a 60 minutes episode about Kratom. Tell him to try that, apparently it changes your life.
Wacker’s been living off Kratom for like three years. I don’t know if he’s an example of why you should use it or why you shouldn’t.
