My traveling is almost over. After hitting Greensboro, Charleston, and Atlanta in a 3 week span, I’m off to Europe this week. I’ll be visiting Amsterdam, Munich, Innsbruck, and Venice. This trip will wrap up November 19th and then I can get back to a regular blogging schedule.
The hotel lifestyle is meh. The buffet style, warmed eggs and soggy bacon, is not my favorite. I did have a killer omelet at the Marriott in Atlanta, but it was the size of my head and I could only eat half of it. The sleep is a bit weird because some nights you’re up late with colleagues and others you have to wake up at 4 am to catch a plane. There is no consistency and it’s difficult to stay in healthy physical shape. On the flip side, the amount of trust that gets developed by in person relationships is a paramount value.
I’ll be staying in some nice Euro Hotels and I’ll try to take some quality pictures of the sights I see. Follow my Instagram! tcstortz
Which brings me to today and a normal day of work. The monotony of making money grows old after 20 years. Even still, I return home, exercise, and sleep in my own bed. The unknown is little and the boredom is immense. It is healthy and comfortable, yet unfulfilling. Traveling the world at least feels purposeful even if it’s not. I’ve been bored and lonely over in Europe the same way. A change of scenery never hurts though.
I’ll briefly touch on the election because now is the day. Both sides are guilty of not respecting the other party. I’d argue Kamala Harris is not qualified to be President of the USA. She wasn’t even elected. She was put there as an improvement to a corpse. I haven’t heard her say one intelligent comment but I’m also not trying hard to listen to her. She seems like a weak leader and a puppet of the party. Just like Joe. Weak on crime, immigration, the economy, and world affairs. Putting Kamala at a table with Putin and Xi to discuss world affairs is laughable, but most of our country couldn’t find Moscow on a map so what do they care.
Democrats says that Donald Trump is a criminal and doesn’t respect woman. He is comparable to Hitler. They’d vote for a monkey over him. It’s a vote of spite, not ability. He’s not a strong leader because he divides the people into 2, which is a monumental ability to being President, perhaps the most important skillset, so I understand where people come from never considering voting for a man of his caliber. But he is smart and conceited (I listened to him on Rogan), and I do think he’d challenge the rest of the world whereas Harris will putter away with ineptitude.
Moving passed the quality of the candidates, what are we even voting for? Both sides make up stats to argue their points. There is no trust whatsoever in DC. It’s a country in decline and I’d vote to fire them all. Put the guy landing rockets on Mars in charge. He’d get my vote.
