I rolled in a league for the first time in about a year last Wednesday. I started off with 3 splits in the first 5 frames (one of which I converted) and was wondering how long it would take me to get back into the groove. The answer was immediately. I moved a few boards to the right and started throwing a missile down the right side. In the next 25 frames I’d guess I threw 15 strikes and had 1 open. I went 175, 225, 245. Welcome back.
As much as I like to brag about how good a bowler I am, this is more of a what are you doing type of a post. Since I stopped bowling (and the golf league) about a year ago, I didn’t replace it with any activities. I was curious if my life would change. It did not. The work alteration with the commute increased the length of my days and I hardly had any more free time. I reasoned that being in these leagues, which will now push my bed time to past 9pm, is going to make waking up at 5:30 more of a challenge. What I found was that I miss socializing with people that I wasn’t getting not doing these leagues. It’s a strength of mine to relate to people and form relationships and I wasn’t doing it. Thus, I’m now back and will complain that tired.

In better news, I hit a 40-1 FRL in the DP Tour to boost my bank account in the Superbowl. I also have BRT at 90-1 which is lookin fantastic with a 2 stroke lead going into Saturday. I also have Tom Kim in the Waste Management, Sebastian Munoz in the LIV, Jin Young Ko in the LPGA, some Korn Ferry athletes, and one man named Broadhurst. You can be absolutely certain I will be on the Eagles. How much depends on how these guys do. I’ll also have a Noah Gray anytime and 1st time, as well as Mahomes rushing overs. Good luck to everyone out there this weekend.
