This is going to be recurring content because it’s so intriguing. I’m literally judging a person on their character based off their FAAB dollar bids. It’s harsh and petty, but I can tell exactly what type of a person you are based off of how you bid on football players. Plus I can bash my friends. Let’s get started:

Analysis: I don’t know who Henry Hounddogs are, but you may call this an over reaction to a 3 TD game. Did I want Calvin Ridley on my team? Yes. Did I know I was going to have to overpay to get him? Also, yes. 60% of your budget for a 1 game performance is a tough sell for me. This guy better become the Falcons WR1 which is hard to say. In his rookie year, I picked up OBJ and he helped me win a championship, so I’m not saying that rookies can’t pay off, there are just better ways to spend FA dollars. The 2nd guy was $13. I’d say $30 would be about the highest I’d pay for Ridley if I desperately wanted him.

$20 for Hooper is insane. Even if you don’t have a TE, you most likely could have gotten him off the waiver wire. This is a scenario of an owner who literally has no idea what he’s doing. He’s outrageous. I’m in 4 leagues and I routinely see 3 TE’s all on the waiver wire and it’s Ben Watson, Seals Jones, and Hooper. If you told me one was any better than the other, I’d say more power to you figuring it out.

$10 for Goff is fine if you just lost Jimmy G. You can see I spent $4 to replace Cam for a bye week. This seems 100% acceptable.

Streaming defenses is a good idea and I’d spend up to about what this guy did if I could get a few weeks out of them. Unfortunately, I’m not sure the Packers are it. The Bills just thrashed the Vikings and there’s no real reason to think the Packers are a first class play. Pass.

Chargers D vs Beathard of San Fran. Sign me up.

Jordy was a 2nd round pick only last year. I should have made a bid on him if he was this cheap.

Analysis – Bidding nothing for a kicker is about how much value I think they are and I got beat out. Should have bid $1. You live you learn.

Sterling Shepard is a good receiver. If is Engram out, he’s that much more valuable. I already have JuJu, Marvin Jones, Tyler Boyd, Edleman, John Brown, and Nelson. I dropped Randall Cobb for Nelson, and would have been fine dropping Cobb for Shepard. $5 is appropriate to gain Shepard at this point in the season.

Wads bidding $7 for Green Bay seems a bit much, but as I wrote before, if they can be used for multiple weeks, it makes sense. With the Packers giving up 23, 29, and 31 points, I’d say they aren’t very good. Combine that with the fact they are 28th out of 32 in defensive scoring, I’d question the move, but the Bills are the Bills and your guess is as good as mine.

Seattle was the play in my mind and I wish I bid more. Bud pulled one over on me as I figured everyone would bid on the Packers because they were the highest projected scoring defense. Seattle takes on Josh Rosen who was putrid in the last 4 minutes of their game against the Bears. It’s a small sample size, but it had me reminiscing about the days when Arizona trotted out John Skelton. If Seattle is any semblance of Seattle of old, this is a double digit point scoring move.

Getting Antonio Callaway for $3 is what it is. It’s too cheap to argue that it’s a waste of money. With Baker Mayfield starting to Q, anything is possible.
