Mike hurt his back in a motorcycle accident and discovered it doing 2,500 sit ups a day. I bet he still won that fight. For me, I either ran a few extra steps on the treadmill or hurt it carrying a golf bag. It could be because I’m getting older which is funny because I re-read my old blog and considered myself old at 27. I was able to finish the golf round.

Is my back really hurt? I was having a hard time putting a tee down yesterday, and putting hurt, but I could swing fine. I’d argue I hit the ball the best yesterday in a while. Aside from a few errors around the green, and an overzealous shot on a hard hole, I played pretty well. Bud shot a 37 on the front which should be applauded. Chris hit 17 fairways which is a nice outing. Bill even outdrove me on a hit I thought I got pretty well. Talk about aging. He also gave me some caddy advice of shortening my golf strap to reduce the weight of the bag while walking. I also noticed he keeps his range finder case open the whole time which I wouldn’t do. Jeff has been dealing with a back issue for years so I know it’s no joke. The pain permeates through a lot of the body which makes it difficult to deal with. It puts a shot of agony if you move wrong. I’m not worried it will be a long term issue, but it is annoying.

Aside from the back being a nuisance, I’ve settled into the standard commuting routine which I plan on altering shortly. We’ve now been out of 210 Vine for a full year which equates to about 500 hours of commute time a year. These are hours that are spent in a car that I used to use as spare time. To make matters worse, I wake up an hour earlier, which means I’m going to sleep earlier as well. There are positives about the new building that we are only starting to try to realize. I’ll post more updates as these changes start taking place. Hopefully they create a type of life that bring variety and rich experiences instead of monotony. Being aware of needing change is the first step to making the change.
Back is probably fucked up from sitting a car for so long.
