The featured image is a clip of an article on ESPN right now. It says:
‘BAYLOR made $4.1 million this season as Baylor’s coach.’
OBVIOUSLY it’s supposed to say Rhule, not Baylor. Anyone with a brain knows that. And it’s in the second paragraph of the article! It’s been up for over two hours and it hasn’t been updated.
Why am I pointing this out? Not to make fun of this idiot David Newton. The guy probably writes thousands of words a day on dozens of articles.
But it means that even at a billion dollar entity like ESPN, with the best staff writers and editors money can buy, mistakes happen.
I don’t relish in other people’s mistakes. But they give me comfort because I know how many mistakes I make, and they happen to everyone, but it’s good to see that they happen even at the tippy-tippy-top.
Does this deserve to be called out like this? Probably not, especially not by me. But Jon Taffer would probably say:
“YOU’RE ES-FREAKIN’-PN AND YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE A TYPO IN THE SECOND PARAGRAPH OF A FEATURE ARTICLE!? ARE YOU FREAKIN’ KIDDIN’ ME?!”
And generally speaking, I agree with what Jon Taffer says.

Your mom made a mistake by having you.
