I floss every night.
Since I have caveman teeth, there’s one molar all the way in the back that’s only half grown in, and it’s the hardest one to get.
Every night before bed, I floss between that molar, take the flosser out, and I smell it. It smells HORRIBLE. It’s like the worst smell ever. None of the gunk I get out from my other teeth smell. It’s also the only one that bleeds.
I don’t know why I do this. It smells bad, but I can’t help it. It’s like some primal, instinctual thing that my lizard brain has to do.
I’ve Google’d this and there’s not a good answer. Google acts like people don’t enjoy the smell. They just say “If your floss smells bad, you may have a dental problem.” I know I have a dental problem. But I want to know if I’m the only one who LIKES smelling it. It’s probably akin to people scratching their butt and smelling it.
I doubt anyone is going to comment “Dude, I’ve been doing that forever and was waiting for someone to say it!“. You don’t know how something will turn out until you write it. And once you write it, you might as well post it. But if anyone out there feels any level of comfort knowing I do that, then this is a win.
