At the ripe age of 33, I will be having yet another oral surgery. My first was in 2001, my last was around 2011. Between those years I had seven surgeries pulling 27 teeth total.
In 2025, I will be having what is hopefully my FINAL oral surgery where I’m removing the last three extra teeth I have to make it an even 30 teeth pulled. After my last surgery they basically said that the three extra teeth still there weren’t worth taking out, and if we’re lucky, they’ll never rear their ugly heads.
Well, a couple of weeks ago that’s exactly what happened; one of the remaining extra teeth started literally growing in under / behind my front teeth. It’s now visible, not good! I was hoping to be done with all of this teeth nonsense, but like an old cowboy being called back to the rodeo, it’s time for one more ride on the bull.
I’m seeing the surgeon in three weeks to talk strategy. I imagine he’ll say something like “We gotta get that tooth outta that tooth!”, and we’ll go from there. Perhaps with a few bed-ridden days I can write a good post.
