Draftkings reneged on a few bets I made last Saturday. This was pre-round.

Here was the message I got on Sunday.

Accepted as an error!?! It was a few bets that might have totaled $150. Are they that strapped for cash they won’t accept that mistake? That’s a bad look. To make matters worse, here is a message I got while betting the other day.

This is coming after I hit a 100-1 last week on $10 bucks and a 40-1 on $15. Considering how much I’ve lost, this should not be raising red flags. Now I’m getting reviewed if I want to bet a 120-1 shot that I guarantee will lose? This is not a good sportsbook that appreciates its customers…and for that reason…I’m out.

I’ve made a fair amount of money on DKNG and still own hundreds of shares. However, I do believe in Warren Buffett’s philosophy of own what you know and I know this is a bad look for DKNG. Another example is when I deposited a K and they gave me 5x $50 bets and took them away after 7 days. I understand I’m the dumb one for not reading the terms, but that’s ridiculous to give the customers 7 days to make the bets. It’s seedy. I sense there is a fair amount of competition in this space and they are hurting for cash.
That doesn’t mean I’ll swap sportsbooks. Taking their money sounds more fun than moving to another book. Plus, even though they don’t offer all the golf tournaments, I don’t think they are good with their golf odds. They only post the main leagues (PGA, DP, LPGA, Seniors, and Korn Ferry) and it’s clear it’s a secondary source of revenue compared to the more popular sports. Not saying that matters, but just an observation. I do think their interface is far and away the best though, but I haven’t used a ton others. Take this post as you wish, but at $37, I don’t doubt it can run to $50 again, but I’m not sure how it can go to the moon.
