Do you know who Brian Thompson is? What about Luigi Mangione? Thompson being the victim and Mangione being the murderer finally caught. The former being a passing name at this point. A CEO of the 16th largest company in the world. Not health insurance companies, all companies. The name you know is some crazed lunatic who had back issues, was taking medication, and came to the conclusion to kill a human because he didn’t like America’s healthcare system. This is my own telling as I don’t have the time to delve into the details if the guy’s unibrow mysteriously disappeared.
Keep Looking Up
Apple is currently the largest company in the world with a $3.745 trillion market cap. I don’t like Apple with its insular business model and cult like fanatics, but I’m not going to try to run over Steve Jobs with a truck. Too soon? Unfortunately, Apple pales in comparison to the asset managers Blackrock and Vanguard. Blackrock has $11 trillion assets under management and Vanguard has $9 trillion. You and I can’t fathom what a trillion dollars is or what you do with it. Peons like us should worry about mowing the lawn and staying healthy.
To a guy like Luigi, who is known as an extremely bright and capable human being, to think that murder is the best way to solve his problem, it does make you wonder. It’s either a mental illness or a drug that drives someone to commit to these wild decisions that lead to these news stories that eat away at the fabric of our country. I’m getting upset when there’s only 22 chips in a bag of bagel chips for $3.59. Maybe I’ll tweet to the company, but that’s as far as I’ll go. I don’t care enough to make an impact that won’t make an impact. Now the CEO is dead. Cool. They’ll replace him and life will go on. You took an innocent person’s life which does not follow the golden rule and for that you should be killed. That’s how a society should run.
You counted the number of bagel chips in a bag.
