We’re in Avalon for the week. Meg and I were drinking coffee in town when JOE FLACCO walked by. I looked to Meg and said “That’s Joe Flacco“. She said “Who’s that?“.
He walked into the store next to the coffee place which conveniently was a store Meg wanted to go to, so we grabbed Harrison and walked over.
The first thing that crossed my mind seeing him up close – He is really attractive.
No shame in saying it. He’s tall (6’6), built like a quarterback, has a full head of hair, has a great casual athleisure style, and is just a good lookin’ dude. This is not something you think about when you watch him on TV. If you’d asked my prior to seeing him what I think about him, ‘attractive‘ would not have been on the list. It is now the top thing on the list.

The second thing that crossed my mind – Is there ANYTHING I can say to him?
It was a small boutique store and he was there with his ~10 year old daughter. Some thoughts:
- You’re Joe Flacco!
- Hey Joe, I’ve had you on my fantasy team like 10 times.
- Joe, you’re way better looking in person.
- Go Blue Hens!
- Hey man, can you watch my son while I tie my shoes?
- (We were the only two dudes there) – Maybe the dudes should hit the bar across the street and leave the chicks to shop, what do you say?
After some consideration, I decided it best to leave him alone.
He wants to shop unaccosted and I have no real connection to him aside from recognizing him. As hopeful as I may be, he’s not going to say “Oh wow, that’s so cool you recognized me, come have dinner at our house and here’s $10,000 cash“.
Instead, I ran home as fast as I could to write this blog post. I’m now a fan of Joe.
You should have walked home!
