I bought a new bowling ball on March 23, 2019. Here were my averages with the Alpha Crux Prime.

South Bowl North Bowl

  • 4/19 – 208 4/19 – 208
  • 5/19 – 236 5/19 – 212
  • 6/19 – 181
  • 7/19 – 180
  • 8/19 – 194
  • 9/19 – 192
  • 10/19 – 167

This month has been brutal. I would love to say that this 167 is all on me but we’ve hit a statistical anomaly. After the month of May, I stopped bowling and started golfing. This affected my average… but not to where I am now. It’s only bowling. It doesn’t bother me.

Because I’ve identified this, I’ll be buying a new ball. Is a $200 dollar investment worth a piece of bowling mind? I think so. If this ball brings my average back to 200, I’ll have to say that bowling is more about the ball than skill. Which is quite unfortunate, but the answer will be exposed shortly. This could be part of the reason why top bowlers may make a million in a year and top golfers make a million every tournament.
