At a young age, and playing all intramural sports, I knew internally that cheating to win was not fun. Stacking teams that created non competitive games was like watching paint dry. Who can forget putting the 5 best players on a team in pickup ball and running court. I’d prefer to be on the underdog side and figure out ways to win to beat the bullies. This never lead to a lot of championships, but I was better off for it.
What’s happening in the election is bully ball. I’ll add, rightfully so, as billions, if not trillions of dollars are at stake.
Here is a screenshot of the results of googling Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
Don’t Interfere
Harris has no right to be in the Top Stories as Trump is not mentioned in her Top Stories (see right). When 95% of searches are conducted by Google, we’ll say they have a vast amount of influence on what their users see. To quote Spiderman, “with great power comes great responsibility.” When they over step boundaries, I don’t like how they are playing the game.
I have no issues when the entire legacy media is instructed to call the candidate weird.
I watched Carcetti/Royce in 2006, sometimes you need to coax Clay Davis at the last minute to not promote as hard as he usually would for the other side. Sheeeeet! Using biased influence, on a platform that should be neutral, is wrong. The people who watch Fox and CNN know they are getting biased news. Amazingly, I like Google products! I have a droid and search everyday. It makes make me wonder why they feel the need to sling mud. Obviously I know, but that doesn’t mean I can’t recognize they’re need to influence, which feels wrong. It’s a shame neutral stances can’t make money.
I also saw some hilarious ad roasting Kamala Harris calling her a Radical California Liberal which I thought was nice slinging. I can’t find it to share, but you’ll see it on network TV. It’s election season.
That’s the capitalism you love!
