I deposited a check from Bovada this Tuesday on a cash out that took about 14 days to get. The ATM doesn’t accept it so I have to had it to a teller and hope they don’t ask any questions. They didn’t. I shopped out the pertinent details.
I wish I could say that this was profit, which it was at the time (depending on when you assess my start date), but the short story is I ran up the account to an amount where I didn’t want to lose everything, and I cashed out $400 and left myself $285 in the account which I promptly lost causing me to redeposit. I redeposited $400 on my credit card to get where I am now.
I took this last night before betting today. If you’d have checked the spreadsheet, you’d see what picks I had today on my way to a nice 9-2 day that netted me $166. I’ve been profitable now for 8 straight days in these small sums of money.
What’s peculiar is that the MLB games ended over 2 hours ago and my bets haven’t paid out for the day. This is wildly unusual because Bovada usually pays instantly to let you put that money to work immediately. What’s even odder is that they processed my losing tickets, but none of my winning. This makes me think the account is being investigated and I’ll be hearing from them shortly.
Sports betting is about to be legalized so this won’t be an issue, I only find it absurd that Bovada is so quick to take your money, but not so fast to give it up. If they make a fuss about it, I promise you it will be the last time I place a bet with them. I imagine they wouldn’t want some shithead blogger posting this, but I’d retort with, act like the legitimate company you’re supposed to be and don’t be a sore loser.
In case you were wondering, which I know you weren’t, Bovada owes me $467.69 and it’s been about 9 hours since the games have finished. Their support said that they are having issues cashing the tickets (I asked them twice). Remember, they processed my losing tickets immediately.
Now that betting is about to be legal, I don’t know why Bovada would pay out anyone. They’re about to lose so much business, id be tempted to just keep everything if I were them.
I drained my Bovada account a month before that ruling, I did not want to risk it. Now I bet horses until PA releases a sports betting app. It’s not as fun.
