After an 8 day winning streak, I’ve dropped $596 over the last 3 days. Why did this happen? Alcohol on Saturday did not help. However, it’s mostly the people I’m using for picks stopped winning, which will obviously have a negative effect on my success.
I follow a guy on the Action Network who won 11 of his last 12. I rode about the last 5 of his picks successfully. I was talking to Evan on Saturday and said, “you know the first time I raise my bet following this guy, it’s all going to fall apart. It happens in Blackjack all the time.”
On Saturday night, I pushed his recommendation further than I should have and paid the price. Then I pushed it too far again on Sunday night and lost again. One more time last night and we’re 0 for the last 3, $-328.
I don’t think this should come as too much of a surprise. Gambling tends to work this way. It’s weathering the storm and getting back on track rather than chasing, which I’ve been doing.
I know these gambling posts aren’t the most riveting material, but they are real life, which is better than making shit up. Today we’re on Dominic Thiem to turn things around.
