I Caved and Got Cable

For the last few months I’ve been living with BASIC basic cable. I don’t use cable for anything other than NFL (spare a few weeks where I watched Bachelorette & Bachelor in Paradise).

Bud wrote a comment asking how that worked out. The answer until today was “Great!”. I can live without TV pretty easily, internet is way more important.

But today, I called Comcast to upgrade. I had to. Living without TV is one thing. Living without the Sixers is another.

My bill went up from $74 a month to $112 a month. That’s a steep increase just to watch this Sixers (plus Jon Taffer degrade negligent bar owners), but I’d turn into a raging alcoholic if I had to watch every Sixers game at the bar across the street.

I looked into League Pass which would black out all local games. I don’t know if Roku or Hulu or whatever else have better alternatives, but at least I know this will work.
