A year ago there wasn’t a huge sample size of what AI generated output looked like. Now that thousands of individuals / companies are producing AI material, you start to sniff out what “feels” fake. Am I saying that all information from AI is fake? Well, it is artificial.
What rubs me the wrong way is when I see a tweet that is clearly written by AI and is being penned to an author. Would that be any different than me using ChatGPT to enhance a blog post. I believe there are variants that make a difference. For example, if someone uses the prompt, “can you improve this” vs “can you give me my opinion”. It’s not hard to sniff out AI output. You look for the em dash —, you see ✅, the headlines will have a big number followed by clean bullet points, or long runs of gibberish information. Once you know it was written by a robot, the info “feels” hollow. Like it’s not ever been tested in the real world. At least a human has emotions, and even if the opinion or point is completely wrong, erring is part of our existence. It, once again, has feeling.

Which brings me to video. If I see a short that has AI, I skip past it. Whatever point it is trying to get across, I’m not interested. Now it’s possible AI fools me with some hybrid of clips that I accidently watch, but mostly I’m not interested in it. That mind click that instinctively tells me it’s artificially generated is off-putting instantly. I can’t see how this will improve to humans as I prefer humans to robots. When I watched the internet invitational, it was like you know the people. When you watch AI generated content, although it may look cool, it has no warmth. With that, I don’t understand the progression because I’m sure that people feel the same why I do.
While I type this, I’m currently waiting for AI to generate me a picture that I’ll use as the feature image to this post. What’s cool is that I don’t have to use IStock and I’m able to get a completely unique picture to me without paying a dime. That’s an awesome use of AI. There’s a balance of when it should be used and when it doesn’t have a place. This will be evolving every day from here until eventually the robots take us over. I bet it will be at the end of my lifetime. Which I’m becoming more and more convinced is a farce anyway. Perhaps I’m a more evolved form of a robot and I’m watching us develop a new breed of robots to take us over due to our limitations. That seems far more likely to me than an all knowing being who creates this planet of destruction.
“…I prefer humans to robots”
Even if the robot was a blonde with some primo tits and a Brazilian ass? You know they’re working on it!
